Job Title: Finance Administrator


Location: Exeter, Devon
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 PA DOE
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm could be flexibility for slightly reduced hours for the right candidate

We're recruiting on behalf of a small, friendly and down‑to‑earth construction business in Exeter looking for a Finance Administrator to become a key part of their team. This is a hands‑on, varied role where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and enjoys working closely with a close‑knit fun team.



What you'll be doing:


You'll take ownership of day‑to‑day operations, including:



  • Verifying supplier invoices and posting them onto Sage

  • Carrying out bank reconciliations

  • Keeping industry accreditations up to date

  • Setting up new project enquiries and entering quantities into Excel

  • Processing subcontractor invoices and statements

  • Supporting month‑end tasks including raising sales invoices, maintaining debtors lists and chasing overdue payments

  • Providing admin support to the Contracts Managers and Estimating team

  • General office duties to keep everything running smoothly



What we're looking for:



  • Experience in an administrative, office support or similar role

  • Confident using Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time‑management skills

  • Some experience with accounts

  • Strong attention to detail - especially with financial data
