Sales Administrator - Permanent - Gateshead!
Are you an organised and detail-driven Administrator with a passion for supporting sales teams and delivering excellent customer service? We're recruiting for a Sales Administrator to join a well-established global business in Team Valley, Gateshead.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in supporting the sales function - managing customer enquiries, maintaining CRM data, processing pricing and account queries, and ensuring smooth administrative processes across the commercial team. You'll work predominantly with a friendly, down-to-earth sales team, with occasional crossover into other departments.
This is NOT a sales based role, it is an administrative role supporting a busy sales department. We're keen to consider candidates with sales administration, customer support, or strong general admin experience who are confident using databases/CRM systems.

💷 Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
📄 Contract: Permanent
⏰ Hours: 36-hour workweek with flexible start & finish times
- Monday-Thursday: 8:20 AM - 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:10 AM - 1:30 PM (early finish!)

Key Responsibilities
Sales Support / Administration:
- Manage the shared inbox to ensure timely responses to customer enquiries.
- Answering office telepgone, handling inbound calls with professionalism, providing excellent customer service.
- Process and monitor pricing and account queries, including issuing and gaining approval for credit notes.
- Create and maintain accurate account information (invoicing addresses, primary contacts, etc.).
- Support the after-sales servicing and repair process.
- Provide administrative support to sales managers and account managers.
- Maintain accurate customer and account data (updates, deduplication, cleansing).
- Support end-users with day-to-day CRM queries, basic troubleshooting, and best-practice guidance.
- Assist with CRM updates and configuration tasks under guidance (fields, forms, workflows).
- Generate and distribute sales reports and dashboards to support the commercial team.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Sales Administration, Customer Service Admin, or similar.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); Dynamics 365 CRM experience desirable.
- Excellent communication skills (phone, email, Teams).
- Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving approach.
- A strong team player who takes initiative and demonstrates a can-do attitude.
- Positive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
