Job Title: Part-Time Accounts Assistant
Location: Farringdon! 2 minute walk from the station (1 day in the office, 1 day from home!)
Contract Details: Permanent, Part Time (15 hours per week - 2 days, 9:00am-5:30pm)
Salary: £35,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time hours)

Responsibilities:



  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding
    * Assist with sales invoicing and credit control activities
    * Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards
    * Support with month-end processes and reporting tasks
    * Manage expense claims and petty cash
    * Maintain accurate financial and accounting records
    * Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
    * Provide ad hoc administrative support to the finance team


Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
    * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 🧾
    * Confident user of accounting software (Xero, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
    * Strong communication and organisational skills
    * Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively over two days
    * Positive, proactive attitude and a team-focused mindset


Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):



  • Experience working in a creative or professional services environment
    * Knowledge of UK VAT and basic financial reporting
    * Familiarity with modern accounting and finance systems


Technologies:



  • Accounting Software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
    * Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
