Are you an experienced Compliance & Quality Manager, looking for a flexible, part-time role with real influence? If so, we have the perfect position for you.



Our client is a growing and ambitious business. As they continue to expand and develop their own product portfolio, they would like to recruit an experienced Compliance & Quality Manager (RP) to ensure their quality, regulatory and operational standards remain exceptional. This is a varied role combining regulatory compliance, quality assurance, health & safety oversight, and HR/facilities administration support. You'll play a key role in maintaining the licences, leading audits and inspections, and helping shape the next stage of the company's growth.

Location: Canterbury, Kent



Salary: £45,000-£50,000 FTE (Pro Rata)



Hours: Part-time, working approximately 16 hours per week, you will have flexibility to agree a working pattern that suits both parties, whether that's two full days, four mornings, or another arrangement.

Your role:



Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will act as the named Responsible Person from day one, taking ownership of compliance and quality activities while supporting wider operational governance.



Your key responsibilities would be:



Compliance & Quality



  • Act as the named Responsible Person on wholesale distribution licences.

  • Maintain and continuously improve the GDP quality management system.

  • Manage SOPs, supplier and customer approvals, temperature monitoring, returns, complaints, recalls, deviations and CAPA processes.

  • Lead internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections.

  • Oversee ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.

  • Support the company's transition towards becoming a Marketing Authorisation Holder.

  • Manage relationships with external regulatory and pharmacovigilance partners.

  • Deliver compliance and quality training across the business.

  • Supervise and support trained Deputy Responsible Persons.


Health & Safety



  • Manage the company's health and safety framework.

  • Maintain risk assessments and investigate incidents.

  • Coordinate fire safety compliance, drills and inspections.

  • Oversee statutory testing and safety-related training.


HR Administration



  • Support recruitment activities, including CV screening, interview coordination and onboarding administration.

  • Maintain training and competency records.

  • Manage HR policy and handbook document control.

  • Handle confidential employee information professionally and discreetly.


Facilities Administration



  • Coordinate building maintenance and external contractors.

  • Manage service schedules, compliance certificates and contract renewals.

  • Maintain records relating to building safety and operational compliance.



You'll be the perfect candidate for this role if you have the following:




  • Experience as a Responsible Person or Deputy Responsible Person within a regulated wholesale environment.

  • Experience supporting or leading MHRA inspections is essential.

  • Strong understanding of GDP requirements and regulatory compliance.

  • Experience managing an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

  • Cogent Gold Standard RP training or equivalent.

  • Able to work independently and effectively within a part-time role.

  • Excellent organisation, record-keeping and communication skills.

  • Experience handling confidential information appropriately.



  • ISO Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification would be an advantage.

  • IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.

  • Previous exposure to HR administration or recruitment support.
