Join Our Dynamic Team as an Community Manager

Are you a personable, people-oriented individual who thrives in creating exceptional experiences for others? Do you enjoy being part of a vibrant community and take pride in maintaining a fantastic workspace? Our client offers a design-led, affordable workspace in the heart of Victoria, catering to startups that are eager to grow. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Community Manager to join our team and help us shape an inspiring environment.

About the Role: As an Community Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our workspace runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the heartbeat of our community, responsible for maintaining high standards and delivering a delightful experience to all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community & Member Experience. Create a warm, welcoming environment for members and guests (pets included).

  • Build meaningful relationships by learning names, noticing details, and being available when people need support.

  • Deliver an engaging calendar of community events, from idea generation to logistics to gathering feedback.

  • Gather member insights and use them to improve how our spaces feel and function.

  • Provide confident, friendly front-of-house support during building hours and be a reliable point of contact for both members and the internal team.

  • Run the daily operation of your buildings so everything feels intentional, calm, and well managed.

  • Lead tours and follow up with prospective members, providing pricing and information when needed.

  • Manage budgets for events, consumables, cleaning, and coffee across your locations.

  • Update and improve the operational handbook for the buildings you oversee.

  • Develop and refine processes that support smoother operations and better member experience.

  • Understand and communicate key policies, compliance needs, and best practices.

  • Work closely with the Buildings Manager to ensure all compliance, health, and safety standards are met.

  • Continuously monitor the look, feel, cleanliness, and atmosphere of your spaces and take initiative to enhance them.

  • Respond appropriately to any building incidents or emergencies.

  • Maintenance & Building Care

  • Carry out regular floor walks to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

  • Monitor cleaning standards every day and raise any issues with the Buildings Manager.

  • Log and escalate maintenance issues using agreed processes, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

  • Work with the Buildings Manager to schedule repairs and coordinate contractors when needed.

  • Ensure kitchens, bathrooms, and shared areas are restocked and running smoothly.

  • Complete weekly stock takes and report findings.

  • Review consumables to ensure we're using effective, good-quality, cost-efficient products.

What We're Looking For

  • A naturally warm, people-oriented person who enjoys creating good experiences for others.

  • Someone self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative, the kind of person who spots problems early and solves them before they grow.

  • A team player who cares about community, takes pride in their work, and wants to improve the places they look after.

  • Someone organised, reliable, calm under pressure, and confident communicating with a wide range of people.

  • A values-led individual who aligns: honesty, passion, commitment, and happiness.

Bonus Skills:

  • Sales experience.

  • Background in hospitality, co-working, or property.

  • Experience running community events.

Benefits:

  • Unlimited holiday.

  • 10% discretionary annual bonus.

  • Private health insurance.

  • Be part of a fast-growing business shaping the future of affordable workspaces.

  • Real opportunities for progression in a company that invests in its people.
