UK Wholesales Executive


REPORTS TO Wholesales Director


LOCATION London


SALARY Up to £48,000 depending on experience


Our client was founded in 1893 in Japan, widely regarded as the Originator of Cultured Pearls and in 2023 is celebrating its 130th Anniversary. Today, our client is an exclusive International Jewellery Brand with a network of retail stores throughout the major cities of the World and has a wholesale distribution business in the USA, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. The UK, Europe and the Middle East wholesale business is managed through our office in London.


2. JOB PURPOSE


Reporting to the Wholesale Director and acting as the first point of contact for all UK stockists, you will maximize opportunities for sales and ensure strong customer relationships, by visiting customers regularly, ensuring they are well trained on the product and how to approach sales and presentation.


Working collaboratively with the other members of the Wholesales team and Merchandising, to ensure good communication is kept regarding orders and repairs.


3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


* Driving the sales turnover of our UK network of stockists to pre-determined sales targets.


* Travelling to stockists and liaising with staff and management to ensure the brand is well represented in relation to competing brands.


* Ensuring merchandise is well stocked and maintained to the required levels.


* Taking orders for sold items and presenting new collections.


* Arranging and attending appointments with owners/management to assess how sell through is in relation to other competing brands.


* Organising and attending events and promotional activities.


* Conducting staff training - making sure that sales staff of the stockists are well versed in the information about the Brand required to achieve successful sales results.


* Making sure POS - display/catalogue - material is presentable and well stocked


* Co-ordinating with Customer Care Team regarding the following: o Processing and shipping of client orders o Monitoring client's co-op advertising o Managing repairs o Responding to client's enquiries.


4. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


* Wholesales experience in the Jewellery industry


* Knowledge of precious metals and gemstones


* Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team, to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and clients


* Strong numerical ability and accuracy


* Professionalism, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure


* Attention to detail and precision required


* Good communication skills


* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Power Point


* Knowledge of Exchequer Accounts and Stock Management software an advantage
