Warehouse Manager

Office Angels Preston are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager for our manufacturing client based in Walton Summit, Bamber Bridge. With business growing at an incredible speed, they are looking to strengthen their Operations team further with an experienced Warehouse Manager.


Reporting into the Operations Manager, the role will be responsible for the daily management of the warehouse facility for the essential warehousing functions of Goods In, Picking, Packing, Stockfile Management and Facilities Management, across a team of 20 people.


Salary: between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on applicant experience.

Always seeking efficiencies, and experienced at delivering and managing change, you will be a motivated self-starter who thrives under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, able to motivate and manage a large team and support their development. You will be meticulous and a strong completer/finisher with an ability to problem-solve at pace.


Experience of multi-site management would be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of multiple WMS systems. Experience from within a manufacturing background would also be a clear advantage.



Key responsibilities of this role include:



  • Long term experience as a warehouse manager or similar position.

  • Strong leadership qualities, able to motivate and manage a large team.

  • Demonstrable subject-matter expertise on the essential warehouse functions of Goods In, Picking, Packing, and Stockfile Management.

  • The role will also cover facilities management for the building, including the management of an external contractor.

  • Strong history of delivering effective, sustainable change to process within a busy warehouse environment.

  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation.

  • Strong decision-making abilities.

  • Tenacious and passionate about delivering world-class products to our customers.


Experience and competency in the following is essential:



  • Experience within manufacturing, or related industry.

  • Knowledge of, or interest in the bike market.

  • Prior experience with both domestic and international supply chains.

  • Multi-site management/operation experience.

  • Experience within fast-growing businesses.


Salary: between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on applicant experience.
