UK Sales Manager

The Adecco Group are proud to be working with an ever expanding global company based in Canterbury who are seeking a Sales Person.

The key function of the Salesperson will be to help to develop the business through a combination of the following:

  • Expanding customer contact

  • Increasing sales opportunities

  • Furthering the sales strategy to increase market share in key regions within Europe.

The role will involve aspects of the following:

  • Market analysis and customer identification

  • Contact business

  • Presentations

  • Travel for in-person meetings and sales calls as applicable

  • Logging and tracking of sales leads, opportunities and related data in the company database will also be essential.

The successful applicant will be able to present the products in a customer environment. This may be in relation to a specific request for quotation or in a more general context. All necessary training and product information will be provided.

The initial area of focus will be Central Europe. Initially customer contacts can be made by telephone or via TEAMS. However, if and when travel becomes less restrictive, significant travel and in person visits to customers, contact and trade sows would be essential to the role.

Applicant Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must have a proven track record in Sales development and key account and territory management.

  • A combination of product knowledge and business knowledge will be required to excel in this role.

  • Must have good communication skills to engage customers and the ability to present the variety of products manufactured by the group.

  • Knowledge, understanding and the ability to discuss some of the technical aspects of the products would be highly regarded.

  • Must also be able to work well with current team members at all levels.

  • This will include but not be limited to: pass on sales leads, discuss regarding engineering and design support and technical details, initiate quote development, present solutions to customers, progress sales opportunities and provide additional support as necessary.

  • High self-motivation and initiative, along with good organisation and management of contacts will be important requirements.

  • Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.
