JOB TITLE: Tree Cutting Engineer


LOCATION: Honiton (and field work around South West)


SALARY: £27,000 plus bonus


BENEFITS: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, up to 10% Annual Bonus, Group life assurance, Discounted RAC Breakdown Cover, Car, Wellbeing Service


HOURS: 8.00am-5.00pm Monday - Friday

THE ROLE: As a result of business success and growth, this expanding telecoms company are looking for Tree Cutting Engineers to join the team in this physically demanding role.


DUTIES: Reporting to the Tree Cutting and Maintenance Supervisor, your duties will include:



  • Completing site surveys and recording the works on the overhead routes

  • Surveying 3rd party utility infrastructure

  • Working collaboratively within the team and other teams to troubleshoot technical queries and resolve issues

  • Ensure regular communications with the Tree cutting Supervisor, team members, and others in order to install and maintain a reliable network

  • Building work packs on MS Office suite as required, checking the relevant maps and resources as appropriate to achieve the highest standards possible

  • Adhere to policies, including but not limited to IT Security, GDPR Policies and Health & Safety

  • Some out of hours and weekend work will be involved in the role, which will be paid at Standard Overtime Rates

  • Undertake any other relevant duties that are reasonably requested of you


Qualifications/Experience:



  • Valid UK driver's license and satisfactory driving record (required)

  • Proficient with software programs for storage and archival of test equipment results

  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • Experience within the arboriculture industry

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy equipment

  • Reasonable fitness levels - ability to walk and stand for extended periods outdoors

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions

  • Solid organisational ability and an attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with a focus on solving problems and providing solutions

  • Pragmatic approach to tree surgery

  • Good written and verbal communications skills

  • Problem solver and solution provider
