Job Title: Transport Administrator

Location: Office based near Hythe, your own transport is required due to the location of your next company

Salary: £24k - £26k DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Annual leave: 21 days holiday to start, rising by one day after two years to a maximum of 26 days

A really exciting opportunity has become available for a Transport Administrator for a successful family run manufacturing business. Your new Manager is extremely supportive and driven, great training will be provided as well as opportunities to develop your career for the right candidate.

Your key responsibilities as a Transport Administrator would be:

  • Planning loads, working closely with the Transport Manager and taking on planning responsibilities when the Manager and / or Transport Planner are not in the office

  • Assisting with administration relating to loads, drivers and vehicles, to meet legal and FORS requests

Plus cover for the following:

  • Invoicing of loads

  • Advising loads to customers

  • Reviewing new orders

  • Arranging carrier deliveries

  • Assisting with other Transport administration duties, including other internal reporting requirements and tasks requested by your Manager, to meet the company's legal and voluntary scheme requirements

  • Working with the relevant managers to maintain and develop quality procedures and systems and ensuring that Company and Statutory Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental requirements are met.

You'll be the perfect match for this client if you have the following skills and experience:

  • Administration and/or Transport planning

  • Ideally experience working within the Freight/Logistics/Transport industry (although this is not essential)

  • Highly motivated and committed to providing great service every day

  • Outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills with strong ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

  • Good MS Office skills
