JOB TITLE: Trainee Service Delivery Engineer


SALARY: Up to £27,000 PA DOE

BENEFITS: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays ,Up to 10% Bonus, 6% Contributory Pension from Company

HOURS: 8.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday

THE ROLE: The purpose of this role is to provide fibre installation services within customer premises, providing a customer-focused service to our residential and business customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone as our client will consider a trainee for this role. If you have worked within construction/engineering/telecommunications/building maintenance or ex military and are now looking for a change and to join a company who really look after their staff. Full training will be provided.

Key duties will include:

  • Complete site surveys to record the most appropriate route from the nearest point of the network to the customers premises

  • Installing fibre in customer premises, business and residential, including splicing

  • Undertake appropriate testing to ensure the service ordered will deliver an excellent customer experience

  • Being customer centric at-all-times, and making sure the customer is delighted with the service and installation completed before leaving site

  • Working collaboratively with other teams to troubleshoot technical queries and resolve issues

  • Working collaboratively with team members to organise sales visits, installations and arrange service calls

  • Ensure that all installation compliance requirements are correct and up to date

  • Work on special projects, as assigned, to help achieve the goals of the department

  • Undertake any other relevant duties that are reasonably requested of you for the benefit of our customers and the business

We would love to hear from candidates who have :

  • Must hold a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record

  • External cabling / internal cabling

  • Confined spaces low risk / confined spaces high risk

  • Overhead accreditation's

  • Use of the MS Office suite of applications

  • Solid organisational ability and an attention to detail

  • Self-starter with a focus on solving problems and providing solutions

  • Customer-centric approach to service delivery

  • Good written and verbal communications skills

  • Problem solver and solution provider.

Although cabling or telecommunications experience would be ideal it is not essential . If you have transferable skills gained in a different sector but are a' hands on' ,'can do' person looking for a new challenge and career and willing to work hard please get in touch

  • Note that this role includes physical challenges: the employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy equipment.
