JOB TITLE: Trainee Contracts Coordinator / Manager


LOCATION: Wincanton, Somerset


HOURS: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday


SALARY: £25K - £30K PA DOE


THE COMPANY: A growing and leading water feature and irrigation specialist, producing and installing projects from corporate, municipal and private clients across the UK and Ireland.

THE ROLE: You will be a key team player and work closely with the contract management team to assist with all operations of the contract fulfilment process. Industry specific in-house training will be provided.


KEY DUTIES:



  • Liaising with Clients/Site staff on a daily basis.

  • Assisting with planning and organising projects from start to handover - preparing job start packs, progressing material & plant orders, coordinating site deliveries.

  • Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors.

  • Assisting with the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

  • Producing / updating project documentation - preparing and issuing of contract completion documents, providing estimates for contract variations / additional works.

  • Collating H&S / Site welfare / RAMS administration.

  • Site visits with Contracts Managers.


THE CANDIDATE:



  • Good working knowledge of the construction / manufacturing industry with the ambition to move into an office based position to coordinate contracts in a support capacity, leading to a potential contract management role.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. IT literate and willing to learn new skills.

  • A methodical and organised working manner in order to assist with moving projects forward.
