HOURS: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week

THE ROLE: We are recruiting for a methodical and process driven Accounts Administrator to join a welcoming team working for a well-known multi academy trust. This is a temporary role, working all year round starting immediately until the end of December therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit for the duration of the role. You will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger for all trust locations and supporting the administration for the central finance team.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Completing monthly checks in a timely manner to assist central team budget holders in budget monitoring and outturn forecasting.

  • Monitoring the mailbox for supplier invoices etc.

  • Processing orders as requested by central budget holders and secure necessary approval.

  • Liaising with suppliers over orders, deliveries, and invoices. Including the relevant checks required when statements are received.

  • Liaising with school office managers in respect of purchase ledger and services for local delivery and/or recharge.

  • Recording when goods or services have been received and process invoices and secure approval to pay.

  • Creating payment lists, secure approval for payment and upload files to the bank, once payments are approved in the bank, send remittance advice notes to suppliers.

  • Raising sales invoices, process sales receipts.

  • Monitoring debt and liaise with Office Managers to follow up on any issues.

  • Processing nominal receipts for non-invoiced income for all locations and post-paying slips.

  • Processing Parent Mail and Parent Pay income weekly.

  • Processing any direct debits, remittances advice notes and adhoc bank entries weekly, liaising with the schools and Trust Finance Manager to resolve any queries.

  • Undertaking checks on new suppliers and customers including independent verification of bank details and set up on PSF once authorised.

  • Providing documentation as requested by auditors.

  • Providing admin support to the Trust Central Finance Team.

  • Maintaining records and data input.

  • Assisting in the preparation of the VAT return.


KEY SKILLS:



  • Prior experience within an accounts and administration role.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong organisation skills.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage workloads.

  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages.

  • Experience within the education industry would be desirable however not essential.

  • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
