Our fantastic Homebuilder client is seeking a highly motivated Temporary Receptionist to join their team in York! 🌟

Location: York (Free onsite parking)


Start Date: ASAP


Duration: Ongoing, with the potential to become permanent the right candidate!


Hourly Rate: £12 per hour


Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm


Responsibilities:



  • Skilfully manage a busy switchboard, ensuring all calls are handled professionally and efficiently

  • Offer a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, creating a positive first impression of the organisation

  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, meticulously distributing and processing it

  • Coordinate deliveries and collections with couriers, ensuring smooth operations

  • Arrange and prepare meeting rooms, including providing refreshments when necessary

  • Assist in the management of invoices and oversee office orders

  • Provide valuable support to the Office Manager in facilities administration

  • Undertake other reception and administrative duties as required.



Skills Required:



  • Previous experience in a similar reception role

  • Familiarity with operating a telephone switchboard is advantageous

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Exceptional organisational skills, self-motivation, and strong communication abilities

  • Possess a confident telephone manner and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

  • Thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments.
