Start date: Monday 8th November 2021 - 09:00-17:00


Pay rate: £12.00-£15.00 per hour


Duration: 3 months rolling contract - with possible extension.


Culture: Relaxed creative, 'vibey' environment, with great flexibility; happy for remote working with 2 days a week in the office.


My West End based client is seeking a Purchasing Associate of a temporary 3-month basis. This has the potential to be extended on a rolling temporary basis.

Are you a natural problem-solver with a bias towards action and exceptionally high standards for organising your work? You possess a high-level of ownership, accountability, and initiative. You pick up new skills quickly and have exceptional attention to detail. You have demonstrated experience in working with a team in a fast-pace environment, coordinating logistics, and/or balancing multiple projects and time-lines.


Duties will include:



  • Work with and support Purchasing & Sourcing Manager.

  • Support project managers, design team and construction teams by managing purchasing and logistics for site-specific projects.

  • Place accurate and timely purchases that align with our vendor payment terms and manage the procurement process from placement to delivery.

  • Liaise between procurement and project management team in defining bulk quantity already on order vs current project need and placing any additional orders as necessary.

  • Maintain record of Purchase Orders and serve as point - person on product availability, open order shipping time-lines and any issues with shipments.

  • Available to be on site for moves and deliveries.

  • Process and manage invoicing.


Required skills & Experience:



  • 2+ years, or equivalent experience, in purchasing and/or logistics function.

  • Experience contacting vendors, placing purchase orders.

  • Experience with dealing with logistics for deliveries and furniture moves.

  • Experience working directory with accounts payable.

  • Strong verbal and written communications required to liaise with multiple departments and vendors.

  • Solid foundation of business intelligence and best financial practices

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Detail oriented with ability to prioritise effectively.
