Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant

We have an opportunity for a Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our client based in East Edinburgh - as this is a temporary role we will only be shortlisting candidates who are available immediately and have no prior commitment over the coming weeks.

Due to an influx of work they need someone who is available immediately and can hit the ground running, with prior knowledge of a finance systems software such as Sage or Xero.

What you will be required to do:

  • Weekly Purchase Ledger, invoicing and processing PO's

  • Code and check invoices 

  • Deal with purchase enquiries 

  • High volume invoice clearing 

  • Prepare monthly statements for clients 

  • Raising Payments 

  • Matching, batching and coding invoices 

  • Dealing with any invoice queries 

  • Deal with purchase enquiries 

  • Supplier statement reconciliations 

Skills required:

  • Intermediate to advanced level Excel 

  • Purchase Ledger 

  • Invoice processing

  • Ability to use own initiative but also know when to escalate to supervisor

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Good communication skills

The hours of work are: Mon to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
