📣🌟 We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Part Time Finance Administrator to join our client's team! 🌟📣

🏢 Our client, a leading organisation in their industry, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to support their finance department on a temporary basis for 4 - 6 weeks minimum, starting immediately. If you have a passion for numbers and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role may be perfect for you!

Location: Sherborne

Hourly rate: £13.78 per hour

Hours: 28 hours would be a preference, however this is negotiable for the right candidate

🔍 Responsibilities:

  • Authorise and enter school purchase orders to IQ Computer System.

  • Check purchase requests from budget holders to ensure they are within departmental budget limits.

  • Place purchase orders with suppliers online or by telephone.

  • Issue goods received to departments, checking advice notes.

  • Complete the Credit Card Book, where required, for reconciliation by Purchase Ledger.

  • Register and issue nominal codes for incoming invoices. Enter invoices onto IQ.

  • Issue invoices to budget holders for authorisation and confirmation of correct budget and nominal code.

  • Match returned and authorised invoices to purchase orders and update IQ.

  • Prepare month-end reports.

  • Reconcile supplier statements.

  • Raise supplier payments with remittance advices twice monthly, by BACS.

  • Highlight any anomalies that arise and query them with suppliers in a professional manner.

  • Place transport bookings with external agencies on behalf of staff and ensure all invoices are allocated to the correct budget codes.

  • Assist in the general running of the Bursary by answering phone calls, dealing with queries, etc.

  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as delegated by the Bursar or School Accountant.

💼 Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger role is highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in using IQ Computer System or similar software.

  • Knowledge of budget management and reconciliation processes.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
