JOB ROLE: Temporary Mail Room Clerk


COMPANY: Medium Sized Company based in the West End


HOURS: 08.00 - 17.00


SALARY: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum


LOCATION: London


My client is seeking a temporary Mail room Clear to cover a period of sickness.


There is a potential temp - perm opportunity but you will need to be available immediately and be happy to temp for a period of 6 weeks.


The role is office based and initially you will need to be happy working 6 hours per day increasing to 40 hours a week.


DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:



  • Delivery of in-house correspondence

  • Sorting and delivery of incoming packages/mail to various departments

  • Disposition of packages/mail

  • Responsible for sample sale set up and taking down

  • Stocking of the shipping station including ordering of shipping supplies

  • Audit and approval of invoices generated from transportation

  • Handle various projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager & local management

  • Label printing

  • You must be able to stand on feet for an 6-8-hour shift

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds

  • Stooping/Bending on job - 80% of work time

  • Grasping/Reaching/Twisting - Continuous through out work time



SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED



  • Must be alert, a fast learner, with retention/recall skills.

  • Must be highly productive, and have a positive team oriented attitude.

  • Ability to produce high quality work in all operations.

  • Skill of effectively communicating with other team members.

  • Ability to effectively and consistently follow policy, procedures, and Quality Control program.
