Our client, a well-established tech company in the transportation industry, is seeking a HR Advisor to join their Central London team on a temporary basis.

In this role, you will hit the ground running and provide generalist HR support to all areas of the business. You will advise on commercially appropriate solutions with consideration on risk, employee motivation, business performance, and delivering the best outcome.

Role: HR Advisor

Hours: 9am - 5.30pm

Days: Monday to Friday (hybrid, 3 days in office)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Central London, Kings Cross

Pay: £19.50 - £23 per hour


  • Primary point of contact for generalist HR issues, directly delivering the majority of solutions while escalating/delegating as appropriate.

  • Actively participate in recruitment, facilitating from approval to first screening for agreed roles, leading to offer and onboarding process.

  • First response to Employee Relations issues, pro-actively engaging manager to pre-empt issues, escalate to formal process, ensuring a compliant, fair and reasonable approach.

  • Facilitate formal process with employees in conjunction with Line Manager, discipline, grievance, absence, performance.

  • Lead on Employee Engagement initiatives including staff welfare, mental health, diversity, social events, recognition.

  • Be an ambassador for the business culture, promoting company values through internal communications, regular reviews, and education.

  • Coach and develop managers in people management skills.

  • Produce reports and analysis relating to employee data, including absence, wellbeing, and turnover, sharing via presentations/meetings.

  • Oversee the integrity, security, and usage of HRIS (Sage HR) to ensure maximum efficiency, automation, and effectiveness for the business.

  • Own and/or participate in HR/business initiatives and projects in support of evolution and growth.

Skills & Experience

  • Generalist HR experience, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Recruitment

  • CIPD qualification desirable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent numeracy, analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail

  • Proven ability to multitask

  • Proven ability in demonstrating initiative whilst continually seeking opportunities for improvement

  • Excellent spreadsheet and reporting skills

  • Experience in using Office365 and HR management system.
