LOCATION: Bridgwater, Somerset


SALARY: £21,509 - £23,387 (DOE)


HOURS: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week (term time, plus 3 weeks)

THE ROLE: Office Angels are recruiting for a methodical and well-organised Finance Assistant to join a close-knit and longstanding team who pride themselves delivering the best education support for all of their students needs. Supporting the Finance Manager, you will assist in the routine day to day operation and expenditure relating to the finances of all the schools across the trust. You will be This is a temporary contract covering maternity leave therefore you must be available immediately and able to commit to the role for at least 6 - 9 months.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Preparing invoices for termly boarding fees

  • Resolving parental invoice queries in timely manner

  • Recording income received and reconcile to the bank on a monthly basis

  • Reconciling income received and reconcile with the bank

  • Invoicing for letting of the school building and grounds

  • Reconciling the school held charge cards against the charge card

  • Assisting with year-end procedures in preparation for audit

  • Processing invoices for the schools ensuring authorised by budget holders

  • Processing Amazon orders for trust schools


KEY SKILLS:



  • Strong IT skills with a working knowledge of Excel

  • Previous experience of working in a financial capacity

  • Good communications skills, alongside a flexible approach and be willing to carry out a wide variety of tasks

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience in the education sector would be desirable however not essential

  • In possession of, or working towards, AAT or equivalent certification would be an advantage
