Temporary Buying Administration
£10-£11 per hour
Chelmsford, Essex
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm


*This is a 6-month temporary contract *


Responsibilities will include:



  • Liaising with management/colleagues at various sites in terms of items requiring


authorisation for purchasing and ensuring the appropriate purchasing request process is followed.



  • Liaising with suppliers as and when required.

  • Ensuring optimisation and continuous improvement of the internal purchasing/receiving goods process based on measurable KPI's

  • Partnering with the Shared Services team to ensure timely payment of supplier invoices and work to address any related issues

  • Understanding the business and its processes ensuring the best buying strategies are in place and to mitigate against supply risks.

  • To assist in any other admin tasks when required.


The successful candidate will possess the following:



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels.

  • A good understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and strong purchasing intelligence.

  • Experience in Procurement

  • General knowledge of software applications (Excel, Word, Power Point).

  • Knowledge of Maximo/ JD Edwards advantageous
