Temporary Bookkeeper

SALARY: £10 - £12 per hour (depending on experience)


LOCATION: Dumbarton


CONTRACT TYPE: Temporary on-going


HOURS: Flexi - 2 x full days or 4 x mornings


We are assisting an established Design and manufacturing company with the recruitment of an experienced Bookkeeper who will be a play a pivotal role in the success of the business and the development of the team.


As this is a temporary position, we will only be shortlisting candidates who are immediately available and have ample accounts / bookkeeping experience.


Due to location, this role will ideally suit someone with their own means of transport, on-site parking available.


Systems experience required: -



  • Sage 50

  • Microsoft Office - particularly Excel


An example of some day to day duties in your new job would be:



  • Processing supplier invoices

  • Processing Payroll and relevant journals

  • Bank and supplier statement reconciliations

  • Management of cash flow

  • Processing VAT returns

  • Reconciliation of online customer payments, company credit cards and accounts

  • Processing expenses

  • Purchase and sales ledger

  • Assisting with month end and ensuring all invoices are received prior to deadline

  • Database managing and tracking sales/client information

  • Check and process all VAT entries to correct VAT code

  • Produce quarterly VAT report

  • Manage WorldPay account
