Perm salary: £25K - £30K per annum


Working hours: Start between 08:00am and 09:30, finishing between 16:30 and 18:00.


The role will be fully office based.

The Role - Full Time, temporary HR Coordinator


As part of the HR team, you will be reporting into our HR Business Partner and working with them and colleagues across the business, which will provide a lot of variety and learning opportunities. From providing recruitment, coordination and administrative support, including managing the HR systems ensuring they are up to date, to managing and developing HR communications and supporting with HR projects, you will be directly impacting our employee experiences and growth plans. This is a great opportunity for you to develop your HR career working on a mixture of different people initiatives and contributing your ideas to enhance our HR support to the business and colleagues.



Your responsibilities will include:



  • Managing process for recruitment and on-boarding administration for new employees including all reference checks. This includes engaging with third parties and managing all recruitment related queries.

  • Administration - Maintaining accurate employee records, driver licence checks and digital filing, and organising workshops as required.

  • Supporting the digitisation of our HR processes and maintaining up to date records in our HR systems, including managing our internal rewards programme.

  • Co-ordinating and managing external third parties to provide training courses. This includes internal planning and management of attendance and updating records to maintain cost efficiencies of the courses provided.

  • Maintaining an up-to-date list of training courses available to staff and managing internal communication of all training courses available to staff.

  • Minute taking for HR related meetings, as required.

  • Managing the process for staff uniform.

  • Generating reports and analysis to provide management information and insight.

  • Familiarisation with our core people policies and processes. This may include reviewing our starter, internal transfers, and leaver processes.

  • Managing distribution of tablets for new employees where applicable.

  • Contributing and managing the planning and delivery of employee engagement HR activities - such as surveys, posters, pod casts, articles and maintaining content for our internal website.

  • Participate in a variety of HR projects and initiatives



Our Requirements - HR Coordinator



  • 3+ years HR experience of working within an HR or recruitment function, ideally experience of working within a unionised environment.

  • A solid understanding of the key principles and application of employment law, HR policies and practices.

  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Good knowledge of full Microsoft Programmes - Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritising your workplan with good time management. Remaining calm under pressure.

  • Confident liaising with and challenging appropriately internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Good investigative and query handling skills.

  • High level of attention to detail and a self-checker.

  • Respectful of discretion and confidentiality.
