JOB TITLE: Technical Manager


COMPANY: Health & Safety and Risk Management - New division within the business


CONTRACT: Permanent


HOURS: 9.00am - 17.30pm


START: ASAP


LOCATION: City of London


SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 however flexible dependant on the candidate

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:



  • Managing day-to-day operations including resource/equipment planning, staffing, quality control, and reporting

  • Supervising and supporting team members to ensure that operational performance is consistent with or exceeds client's quality service standards

  • Providing final review sign-off on contractor and supplier accreditation submissions

  • Creating new assessment and accreditation standards to offer our client base

  • Oversee key client liaison, supply chain mobilisation and renewals activity

  • Resolving issues escalated by the client services team

  • Supporting the on-boarding process of new clients

  • Setting clear direction and accountability in delivering operational objectives and carrying out regular performance reviews ensuring all direct reports are fully aware of their responsibilities & accountability's

  • Supporting the product team in the design of new product enhancements

  • Required to set standards of our accreditation offering, ensuring it continues to meet ever changing requirements


SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:



  • SSIP Assessor experience, or equivalent

  • GradIOSH/CMIOSH

  • CDM knowledge or competence

  • IRCA certified

  • Proficient IT skills, especially Microsoft Office

  • Proven management and operational experience in a service delivery environment

  • Friendly & approachable

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative

  • Strategic thinker

  • Excellent communication verbal and written, especially strong telephone manner

  • Natural leader and ability to support and work well under pressure

  • Implementing policy and procedures
