JOB TITLE: Systems and Services Advisor


LOCATION: Bridgwater


SALARY: Circa £23,000 - £26,000 DOE


HOURS: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week.

THE ROLE:



  • Be the first point of contact for incoming service desk telephone calls and to provide support to the Software Services Manager.

  • Maintain a positive and proactive business relationship with clients.

  • Work within the Company's software services team and with other colleagues to analyse, research and provide solutions to meet client's enquiries and needs.

  • Maintain a positive and proactive business relationship with clients, being attentive to further income generation opportunities.


THE PERSON:


Dealing directly with customers who are contacting with queries related to their ERP software, you will have an excellent telephone manner and a strong focus on delivering customer service. You will demonstrate a desire to ensure that issues are followed through and that customers are able to maintain their IT operations.


The ideal candidate is someone who has experience of working within a company of less than 100 staff and which supplies products rather than a service. Therefore you must have experience or understanding of:



  • Purchasing goods for resale.

  • Stocking goods before resale i.e. understands stock takes and warehouse logistics to some extent.

  • Purchasing and / or selling outside of the UK i.e. customs requirements / foreign taxation implications.

  • Shipping goods to customers via carrier.

  • Experience of receiving and processing orders through a web site or eBay / Amazon.


In a prior role you may have been a "go-to" person for IT and data management problems in the absence of an IT department and can look at day to day operational challenges from a computer system point of view. You may never have thought of working within the IT industry and certainly not on a help desk, but your hands on experience in your previous employment means that you know how processes within SME's work and you will have ideas of how to tackle the key challenges and priorities facing customers with software problems.
