Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is your chance to contribute to a thriving company and play a key role in managing the end-to-end supply chain process. Not only that, you'll be part of a growing team so there's a high chance other opportunities will present themselves before the end of your contract.

As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the production schedule, inventory management, and demand planning to ensure efficient and effective production that consistently meets customer needs. No slow-moving or obsolete inventory will be created under your watchful eye.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the wider team to update the production schedule and demand planning on a weekly basis, based on sales, inventory, and forecast information.

  • Manage the ordering, expediting, transportation, and receiving of raw materials in line with the production schedule to prevent any delays.

  • Track the delivery of raw materials into the warehouse and ensure they arrive on time.

  • Take charge of inventory management for PPE products and ensure timely delivery to prevent customer back orders.

  • Plan the production schedule for the UK manufacturing departments, providing an overview to the production managers and addressing any potential challenges.

  • Prepare and manage customs documentation for importing and exporting freight worldwide.

  • Support the finance function by checking, allocating, and signing invoices for raw materials, PPE products, and freight charges.

  • Set up new products in the ERP system.

  • Conduct regular calls with suppliers to track production progress and proactively address challenges.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct the year-end stock take with an external auditor, working closely with the production managers and finance director to ensure accuracy.

  • Provide coverage for the customer service/order entry role in the absence of team members.

  • Take on additional tasks that align with your skill set and support the smooth operation of the supply chain.

Our client is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent problem-solving skills. You should be confident in coordinating multiple tasks and working collaboratively with various stakeholders. If you are passionate about supply chain management and eager to make a positive impact, this role is perfect for you.
