Office Angels are proud to be working with an international global organisation within the distribution industry. Their aim is to help lower the costs, risks and complexity of their customers supply chains and they do this with huge success.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and data focussed individual who has experience within Supply Chain, Inventory procedures and essentially is competent at moving mass data. The role would suit someone who enjoys working within a small team of likeminded individuals and is looking to progress their career from either a Demand Planner role or Supply Chain.

The actual job…

  • Review, evaluate, and monitor inventory related policies affecting historical demand trends to determine their benefits, flaws, and impacts. Inventory policies include: Lead Times, Safety Stock Levels and Inventory Sourcing Rules and other master data cleanse maintenance.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand and document needs, concerns, and viewpoints relating to impacts to the demand trends; Enforce Company inventory policies and procedures in daily communication with field leadership.

  • Understand data governance and control distribution of company inventory data points.

  • Find new insights and trends which will help identify and solve complicated supply chain problems related to system policies. Looking for best in class approach and adopting into our business

  • Gather, analyse, integrate, and report on quantitative and qualitative data. Perform analysis with this data using analytical models and mathematical analysis. Deliver comprehensive reports in presentation and / or written form.

  • Collaborate with all areas of the supply chain to identify and understand inventory opportunities. Focus on demand trends linked to service, inbound, and make amendments/adjustments to policies accordingly

  • Work with IT Department to enhance current and future inventory systems.

  • Review processes, identify improvement needs and create systems and applications to meet such needs.

  • Work cross-functionally with Inventory Management on customer specific solutions that will improve efficiency and enhance customer experience.

  • Collect, analyse, cleanse, validate and report data to meet Inventory Management's need

What experience do you need to apply?

  • Experience working within a similar role within Demand Planner/Supply Chain Planner/Supply Chain Analyst

  • Ability to move mass data

  • Understanding of Inventory procedures

  • Knowledge of Inventory and understanding of inventory management policies linked to areas such as Safety Stock, Lead Times and transitioning into results

  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain and inventory management processes.

  • Detail oriented, ability to communicate complex problems and solutions

  • Analytical capabilities & experience with statistical tools

  • Prioritisation skills

  • Experience in of dealing with outputs from systems such as Oracle Value Chain Planning or other recognised planning systems such as JDA, SAP would be an advantage

  • Familiarity with SQL database and query language would be an advantage.

  • Familiarity with automation tools like UI-Path or SQL database and query language would be an advantage, but not an essential requirement
