JOB TITLE: Skills Recruitment Consultant

LOCATION: Remote working / field based across various locations dependant on candidate preference

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

SALARY: £22, 000 - £26, 000 per annum plus generous commission

BENEFITS: Generous 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, remote working, phone contract, laptop provided, healthcare plans

THE COMPANY AND ROLE: Our client, who specialises in workforce transformation and development, is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for a number of Skills Recruitment Consultants to join their team across the South West. This is a remote working role in which you will be based from home but will be required to travel to visit clients in your area on a frequent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, customer focussed individual to work with local companies, building long lasting and fruitful business relationships and to manage their own client accounts. This is a unique opportunity to work in a target driven, business development role, whilst achieving positive outcomes for both employers and employees.


  • Contacting employers in your given area to provide information on available apprenticeships, selling the benefits and encouraging sign ups

  • Recruiting new employers onto the apprenticeship delivery scheme and ensuring the required number of monthly apprentice starts are achieved in line with targets

  • Keeping in regular contact with employers to understand current training and development needs

  • Account management of current employers on the scheme from initial induction right the way through to completion, acting as a constant point of contact for any queries, resolving issues and proving excellent client care

  • Undertaking regular client visits

  • Enrolling new apprentices, completing initial assessments and all relevant paperwork

  • Ensuring all work activity and business opportunities are accurately recorded

  • To ensure that identified employers and eligible apprentices/learners are assessed accurately

  • Complete apprenticeship enrolments

  • To ensure lead generation provided is followed up within the required timescale

  • Attending relevant networking events
