Job Title: Site Administrator - Immediate start

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Salary: £23,000

Hours: Temporary to permanent, Monday - Friday (42.5 hours)

We are seeking a pro-active and methodical administrator to join a friendly and down to earth team who are very proud to be working as part of the Hinkley Point C project. This is a full time role, initially temporary with the view to become permanent for the right candidate therefore you must be available immediately or on a very short notice period. This role is based on- site at Hinkley Point C therefore you must live locally to Bridgwater, Somerset.

This role is predominantly a data entry role designed to administer the Delivery Management system in order to provide first line support in the effective management of Freight and Materials being delivered via road and sea to support the construction of Hinkley Point C. The Delivery Management system is an online database of delivery drivers and delivery vehicle registrations that is the sole mechanism for scheduling and booking deliveries to Hinkley Point C.

This a really varied role and duties will include:

  • Input new delivery booking requests into DMS (delivery management system) in a timely manner

  • Send confirmation of booking to supplier

  • Input new delivery drivers and vehicles on to the database

  • Identify and report technical problems

  • Maintain and communicate all delivery schedules to key internal staff. This will include publishing and adapting daily/weekly/monthly schedules

  • Co-ordinate sub contractor's deliveries in line with their nominated representative

  • Ensure delivery drivers have the relevant delivery information

  • Maintaining database of approved drivers/vehicles

  • Liaise with security on delivery driver access pass validity/renewals

  • Monitoring delivery driver security / training prerequisites to ensure they do not expire

  • Coordinate deliveries with site team and engineers

  • Weekly reporting on performance

  • Any other general Administration duties as required

The key skills required for this role are:

  • Experience of working with databases

  • Excellent IT skills and a confident user of all Microsoft Packages (including Excel)

  • Excellent communication with various levels of the organisation and external stakeholders

  • Logical and methodical working

  • Ability to work independently and be pro-active

  • Positive & motivated nature

  • Good level of flexibility

  • Good time management
