JOB TITLE: SHQE Manager


LOCATION: Bridgwater


SALARY: Dependant on experience


HOURS: Full time Monday to Friday, permanent opportunity.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Site Director as part of the UK management team, the role assumes full responsibility for the maintenance, development and improvement of all aspects of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental management systems for the Bridgwater site to ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the COMAH Regulations.



  • You will promote and communicate site Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental policies to all personnel.

  • You will develop, revise and implement written SHQE programmes that ensure overall compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • You will provide general support to local site-based functions to resolve SHQE issues related to operational activities.

  • You will engage with Regional and Global colleagues in relation to the execution of project initiatives and the continuous improvement of the Organisation's SHQE systems.

THE CANDIDATE:



  • Prior experience in a similar SHQE role

  • Familiarity with aerosol, chemical or manufacturing industry processes

  • A graduate level qualification in a relevant technical discipline & be a holder of a professional diploma in Safety Management

  • Experience of working within a Lower or Upper Tier COMAH site and/or the ability to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of the COMAH Regulations

  • Experience of developing and improving safety management systems

  • Experience of the management and maintenance of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

  • Experience of the management and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems

  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of programs effectively and experience of working within an ERP computer system environment
