Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, flexible hours

As a Shipping Coordinator at their Ashford site, you will support customers through monitoring any daily shipment issues, management of outbound customs queries and monitoring of imports to ensure the delivery schedule is maintained efficiently.


On a daily basis, you can look forward to:



  • Facilitating and liaising: ensuring careful execution of shipping requests. You will be process orientated, paying attention to shipping dates, labelling, packaging and stockholding according to customer requirements.

  • Overseeing the preparation of export shipping documents in SAP (in accordance with regulatory requirements).

  • Liaising with Quality Control to validate conformity of materials to be shipped.

  • Communicating: a key part of this role is communication with people and around requests.

  • Following up on transport complaints: monitor and resolve missed deliveries or documents by carriers.

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of written export transportation procedures and filing maintenance.


Knowledge, skills and experience required:



  • Experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in shipping operations preferred.

  • SAP experience would be an advantage

  • Good knowledge of transportation supplier landscape.

  • Good knowledge of local and international material/product safety/security norms and regulations.

  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes.

  • Basic knowledge of production process.

  • Good computer skills.
