Are you an experienced Import Entry Coordinator looking for a new challenge? Do you have over 5 year's work experience in the import/export field? This could be the ideal for you to work for an established international freight company, shipping to countries including the USA, Singapore and across the Middle East. This fantastic shipping company processes ocean, road and air cargo around the world using different forms of transport. There are globally over 10 offices and great potential for progression, if you are knowledgeable of the freight trade. As an independent, privately owned company, the company focus is on long-term relationships with our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join a friendly and vibrant 'Ocean & Road' import and operations team in a vibrant environment, where all of the freight teams unite to support each other including ocean, air and road.

Job Description:

* Full time Import Entry & Operations Coordinator - Ocean & Road. Required to support the air freight team and other internal freight teams during busy periods.
* Role will involve supporting the freight team at times; all customs/exports team support each other when necessary to meet the needs of the business i.e. phone calls / supplier queries.
* Job involves dealing with high volume of freight consignments from start to finish, including the country of origin / shipping information & processing relevant documents / claiming goods / clearing goods /customs / final shipment delivery.
* Departmental team oversees Ocean AND Road shipments.
* Managing clients' import ocean freight operations from origin to destination for FCL and LCL
* Liaising with customers, overseas partners, and suppliers to arrange quick dispatch of cargo
* Effectively using bespoke IT systems to create and manage shipments within agreed upon KPI's and maintain accurate data relating to clients and shipments.
* Submitting of accurate import customs entries in line with the company AEO procedures
* Proactively planning and arranging deliveries using precise requirements.
* Problem solving and escalating any issues with arrival of goods which may lead to issues with customer deliveries.
* Ensuring clients are served in line with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Dealing with invoicing/job costing to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
* Manage Import container movements on behalf of clients.
* Work closely with origin offices to ensure consignments move correctly and on time.
* Provide transactional service supports such as Customs clearance and haulage.
* Act as direct point of contact for clients, ensuring that all operational requirements and enquiries are concluded accurately and efficiently.
* Observe deadlines and SOP.
* Generate and maintain control sheets to fully track and audit all consignments.
* Update and maintain systems with accurate and real-time data.
* Monitor and control all cost and revenue at job-file level.
* Process invoice and shipping documentation.

Skills Required:

* Must have a minimum of 5 x years history working in the freight import industry.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
* Quick learner with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of customs procedures and customs tariff would be an advantage.
