Job Title: Shipping Administrator


(You may have worked in shipping, export administration, customs, logistics, import, customer liaison, sales administration, purchasing or procurement)


Location: Wellington, Somerset (office based)


Salary: Circa £28,000 PA DOE


Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday

The Role: Working within a small close-knit team of 3 you will be responsible for supporting the sales administration and shipment process, working closely with the sales team to achieve growth and increased sales. This is an exciting opportunity to join a down to earth and friendly team and work for a company who really value their staff and customers at an exciting time of growth!


Key Duties:



  • Liaising with customers on their requirements for product and timings.

  • Processing customer purchase orders using SAP ordering system.

  • Invoicing of each shipment to final customer using SAP and company database.

  • Preparing standard and unique paperwork to fit the requirements for exporting to each market.

  • Liaising at each level with freight forwarders and logistics companies to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

  • Maintaining inventory records and predicting forward requirements.

  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of goods.


The Person:



  • Preferably previous experience in shipping / export or stock administration or a related role.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Proficient in using computer systems and ideally stock management software.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
