HOURS: 9.00am - 17.30pm


LOCATION: Central London

SALARY: £47,000 per annum

This talented team of Transition Managers project manage the on boarding of new or significantly changed Managed Services from point of Service Design, to then handover to live Operational Service Delivery. They are looking for a new Transition Manager to assist with clients and projects of various sizes across the UK.


  • Provide effective and efficient handover from Service Design to service operation

  • Deliver all projects in line with best practice (managing risk, providing governance, quality assurance, issue resolution, reporting) - where successful implementation of new service is the primary goal

  • Deliver excellent service transition project management in line with budgets and time lines

  • Effective communication to all internal and external stakeholders throughout the transitions for the client

  • Interface with current suppliers that will be leaving the customer or current internal support teams, involving agreement, planning, time lines and expectation of deliverable

  • Ensure strict commercial change control to manage deviations from base lined Service Design

  • Ensure escalation processes are abides by to manage transition risks and issues

  • Manage the budgeting within the Service Transition, ensuring costs and times are recorded against products and services delivered

  • Ensure Transition is billed to recover transition revenues

  • Ensure high level of quality for all services and products in the transition

  • Ensure accurate contract entry and configuration on each Service Transition

  • Review the outcomes of every project to determine all corrective actions that could be taken to improve future delivery in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfaction

  • Provide support during the beginning of the new client setup post transition

  • Provide an effective handover to Service Operations and Service Management Delivery

  • Assist with tender responses for Bid Management for services


  • Prince 2 Foundation & Practitioner and/or Agile certification

  • ITIL v3 Foundation desirable Prince 2 Foundation & Practitioner

  • Experience of running a variety of small, medium and large Managed Service Transitions desirable

  • Previous experience of IT Managed Services Transition/take on

  • Experience in a Service Delivery or Technical based role

  • Experience and capability to manage multiple projects autonomously

  • Commercial experience in the management of projects to budgetary constraints and where effective commercial change control has been incorporated

  • People management skills

  • Understanding of all Service Delivery departmental operations, systems, processes and structure

  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
