  • Fully office-based in Gateshead (NE8).

  • Competitive salary range, circa £30,000, negotiable depending on experience.

  • Full-time position, Monday to Thursday (8 AM - 5 PM) and Friday (8 AM - 2 PM), with a one-hour lunch break each day, totalling 37 hours per week.

  • 28 days of holiday, including bank holidays, increasing with length of service.

  • Statutory pension scheme.

As a Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:



  • Managing the diary for engineer's work, scheduling work on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, coordinating with engineers.

  • Raising and booking repair/call-out jobs.

  • Ordering parts and materials from suppliers.

  • Coordinating with subcontractors for their visits.

  • Providing quotations to customers for required works.

  • Scheduling service visits and updating internal spreadsheets.

  • Building maintenance schedules and inputting them into the system for engineers.

  • Handling the Service department's inbox and responding to email queries.

  • Answering telephone calls from customers.

  • Handling ad-hoc contract administration duties.

  • Checking and approving engineer's timesheets.

  • Recording sickness and annual leave for engineers and office staff.

  • Assisting the Office Manager.

  • Generating invoices for client jobs.


Requirements for Success:



  • Previous experience working in a service planner, service coordiantor or scheduling role within the engineering industry is favourable.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to multitask effectively and work well under pressure.

  • Adaptability and a proactive attitude when faced with unexpected situations.
