If you are an experienced Receptionist/Administrator then this could be an exciting, rewarding position for you. You will be based front of house within an award winning Academy in a great location in South London working alongside a small friendly team.


You will be the initial point of contact for incoming phone calls, visitors, parents and pupils with a professional, helpful and friendly approach to build positive ongoing relationships.

Responsibilities:



  • Establishing reasons for pupil absence daily, inputting registration data onto the school SIMS system

  • First day calling on first day of absent pupils

  • Handling face to face and telephone conversations with pupils, parents and external agencies relating to attendance matters

  • Managing SIMS attendance for pupils leaving school for appointments

  • Issuing attendance letters to parents

  • Reporting persistent absences

  • Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team with attendance data and results to targets

  • Ensuring school compliance with statutory requirements

  • Hospitality and warm welcome to all visitors

  • General administrative support within the school office

  • First-hand support to Senior Leadership Team

  • Reception cover when required

  • Any other adhoc duties



Experience Required:



  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook

  • Working knowledge of SIMS is desirable

  • Front of house experience is desirable

  • Customer facing / service experience

  • Excellent administration skills

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills at all levels

  • Able to work as part of a team and also in a stand-alone position

  • Strong initiative and proactive working manner
