OA Executive is pleased to have partnered with a growing, international transportation organisation in their search for a Senior Procurement Manager to join their procurement team. Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for delivering robust strategies, implementing best practice and ensuring that at all times the organisation benefits from value for money and excellent service levels.



You will be responsible for leading on high value procurements, working in conjunction with various business departments and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders across the organisation.




  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies

  • Act as the main POC for procurement requirements / enquiries

  • Undertake all allocated category procurements in consultation with Head of Department and Key Stakeholders across the business

  • Conduct complex and high value tenders, manage and maintain key strategic supplier relationship

  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships to understand and support business strategy through management and delivery of pipeline projects

  • Draft tendered supplier contracts for allocated category expenditure, including any framework agreement

  • Manage supplier dispute resolution

  • Obtain whole life cost efficiencies for the organisation by linking purchase cost, efficiency, support and ongoing maintenance to ensure the most efficient procurement solutions


  • Mentor and support Category Managers on projects as necessary




  • Develop and maintain a supplier matrix against risk and spend





The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have sound experience working within procurement with a thorough and in-depth understanding of managing indirect or other large procurement projects. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work independently, managing and delivering on multiple large value contracts and tenders, often within time constraints.



Furthermore, you will have sound negotiation and communication skills, the ability to converse with key stakeholders, will be a key team player and will be able to work under pressure effectively. A CIPS (or equivalent) qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential.
