Senior Operations Administrator

£25,000-£35,000 Dependant on Experience

Full time - Times flexible for the right candidate

Fully Remote or Hybrid (Office in Exeter so successful candidate must live within easily commutable distance)

This is a unique opportunity to work for a high-net-worth business owner who started their entrepreneurial journey over 30 years ago, buying businesses and property, developing, building and streamlining them and then selling for a profit.

This has mainly been within the building/construction sector and most recently property, purchasing areas of land and developing it into houses of flats and then selling or letting these out.

Our client now lives permanently in Portugal where they run their Exeter based business from. This role will therefore be working remotely with them assisting with the running of the businesses by providing daily support in different areas and overseeing all administration for the businesses.

The successful candidate must have some background within finance/bookkeeping as you will be expected to assist with invoicing and provide support around the ledgers, so an understanding of sales/purchase ledger and previous invoicing experience is essential. This is just part of the role as you will get involved in lots of areas requiring support. No day will be the same and the role could grow if desired.

The candidate will be required to work full time, but our client is totally flexible how this is worked and doesn't need to be the standard 9-5. It could be flexible to fit around school runs or other commitments as longs as the day's work gets done!

The role will be primarily home based and you will be set up with all the equipment required, but there is an office in Exeter that could be worked from if the successful candidate desired. Key Duties

  • Diary Management

  • Document Management - keeping all folders and drives updated

  • Invoicing -sales ledger/purchase ledger

  • Management of Director's personal finances

  • Booking travel

  • Maintaining insurance documents and ensuring all areas of the business have the correct certifications surrounding compliance and H&S

  • Dealing with the administration and forms surrounding planning applications and liaising with the council

  • Networking with local estate agents

  • Liaising with project managers and site staff

  • Supervising a trainee administrator and sharing skills

Skills Required

  • A sense of humour is a must

  • Strong MS Office and IT skills

  • Experienced administrator

  • Experience of streamlining systems and document management

  • Experience of finance practices including sales/purchase ledge and invoicing

  • An ability to work one on one remotely

  • A fantastic organiser

  • A can-do positive attitude
