Job Spec for Senior E-Commerce Manager - updated November 2022



Our client are a prestigious skincare brand with one focus, to establish a luxury range of products from natural origins, delivering groundbreaking science to become a leader in modern skincare. We are actively seeking a Senior Ecommerce Manager who would be interested in joining a growing start up on a journey to greatness! You would implement strategy, processes and really focus on maximising store performance across content, categories, new products and promotions within a beautiful, casual office space and tons of flexibility to work from home.




  • 3-5 years as an e-commerce manager in a hands-on strategic role.

  • Manage and optimise store performance across content, categories, new products and online promotions to maximise customer experience.

  • Ensure that products and website/websites are updated regularly.

  • Communicate effectively with the team and present accurate performance data to the directors.

  • Manage launch programmes, calendars, creative concepts and traffic acquisition across different channels with a focus on Good Adwords and Social/Content Marketing.

  • Develop and deliver a retention strategy.

  • Works with the Shopify platform to optimise cross-sell and up-sell purchasing strategies.

  • Analyse data and implement optimisation strategies for better performance.

  • Numerical and analytical with the ability to read data and turn it into invaluable insights

  • Excellent knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem

  • Solid experience working with Shopify, Shopify Plus and Klaviyo

  • Able to plan and implement the growth of the brands' online sales from 2% of turnover to 15%+.

  • Experience with setting/reaching realistic targets and managing expectations.



A few extras



  • Beauty industry experience is good but not essential if they are outstanding candidates. That said, we want them to have practical product experience.

  • The candidate needs to understand the importance of logistics and the customer's experience. We are setting up global DCs to accommodate local B2C websites.

  • A commercially minded candidate is preferred, and experience in the Beauty Industry would be nice to have.

  • We are redesigning our website to incorporate skincare, fragrance and our gentle transition as we become more of a lifestyle brand. Starting the redesign in January 2023, we would like this candidate to manage this project with our web developers, our head of design, and our creative director.

  • Understanding the marketing ecosystem and developing campaigns alongside our marketing manager is preferred.

  • Understanding Google Adwords and Social Media advertising, helping drive website traffic is also preferred.

  • Overall we are looking for a team player who can lead the way and isn't afraid of adapting and changing.
