JOB TITLE: Senior Buyer
LOCATION: Northampton - Flexible working offered
SALARY: £45,000 - £47,300
HOURS: Mon-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Office Angels are excited to be supporting a highly regarded company in Northampton with their latest recruitment. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your focus will be to lead end to end supplier engagement and sourcing activities, from definition of business requirements, sourcing strategies, tender analysis, negotiation, performance monitoring and ongoing procurement life cycle management.

DUTIES:

• Monitoring supplier performance against agreed KPIs to drive higher levels of performance


• Supplier risk management oversight, making use of Achilles procurement tool


• Management of vehicle fleet provider


• NCR and Supplier Insurance Liabilities monitoring ownership for all stakeholders


• Generating actions by working closely with your allocated supplier base to minimise the business' carbon footprint


• Data analysis to identifying areas within the business to help reduce costs


• Negotiation of supplier contract reviews and price negotiations


• Knowledge of various contract framework agreements


• Implementation of new suppliers following a detailed onboarding process and negotiation of terms


• Work in partnership with the legal team by understanding different contract types


• Assist the administrator raising PO's and NCR's when needed

Key qualities/qualifications/experience:

• Procurement experience including ability to negotiate at a senior level


• Experience managing varying priorities and tight deadlines


• Proven record of cost savings


• Strong analytical, negotiating and influencing skills


• Minimum CIPS level 3 qualification is essential
