Senior Accountant

JOB ROLE: Senior Accountant
JOB TYPE: Permanent
LOCATION: West London
SALARY: £55,000 (flexible dependent upon experience!)

  • Prepare weekly bank and accounts receivable reconciliations

  • Support year end audits and tax filing requests

  • Prepare weekly reports; proactively provide value-added analysis and metrics

  • Prepare credit checks on potential customers and provide recommendations to the sales team and heads of function on their viability and necessary terms

  • Monitor the accounts receivable inbox, responding to customers in a timely and accurate manner

  • Update collections tracker with collections correspondence and statuses

  • Manage the setup of new customers and monthly collection of direct debit payments

  • Prepare journal entries timely and ensure data input is complete and accurate

  • Prepare account reconciliations and analytics for month end close, ensuring deadlines are met

  • Ensure accurate purchase orders are issued to customers ahead of invoicing

  • Create and send accurate monthly and non-recurring customer bills for the UK & Europe (using 2 different systems)

  • Incorporate add-ons, abatements, move-ins, and move-outs into a revenue tracker

  • Issue invoice follow ups; escalate and collaborate with Relationship Leads as needed

  • Assist the Relationship Manager with any abatements or renewal terms, reviewing these draft customer agreements


  • ACCA or CIMA or AAT (or equivalent) qualified or part qualified

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent)

  • Experience in an Accounting role!

  • ERP experience is preferable (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Salesforce, Fastbill, etc.)

  • Strong Excel skills - Manual entry experience is a must!

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting best practices

  • A passion for and experience leveraging systems and driving process improvements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
