Salary: £23,000-£26,000k (depending on experience)

Office Angels are proud to be partnering with one of UK's leading construction and building consultancies. We are looking for a hardworking and organised Secretary to join their busy growing team.

The main role and responsibilities of Secretary will be, but no limited to.

  • Using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel etc, prepare and manage correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, records, presentations, and databases.

  • Organise and coordinate appointments, meetings and travel arrangements and book rooms and conference facilities, assisting in organising internal and external events as required.

  • Liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts to coordinate the flow of information both internally and externally.

  • Greet and welcome visitors to the office and check and sign for deliveries.

  • Answering the phone and assisting with client enquiries.

  • Make copies of correspondence and other printed material.

  • Maintain filing systems by organising and storing paperwork, documents, and computer-based information.

  • Produce sales invoices and assist colleagues in preparing and submitting relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, for example timesheets, expenses, database applications etc.

  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.

  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.

  • This is indicative of the role, however, there will be other duties and responsibilities that you may be required to undertake from time to time.

Previous experience

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics, or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional office environment in an administration/secretarial role.

  • Audio typing and previous experience in the construction industry would be desirable but not essential

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills

  • Good management and prioritisation of workload

  • Ability to cope with conflicting demands and deadlines

  • Work individually or in a team, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work

  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and formatting skills

  • Capable of using your initiative

  • Be proactive, flexible, and adaptable

  • Professional manner

  • A contribution of £35 towards mobile phone use for business is given to all staff.

  • A company fleece is given to all members of staff.
