Sales Team Leader


Guildford, 60/40 hybrid working model


Up to £26,000 per annum PLUS hybrid working, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), competitive pension scheme, staff discount on brand products up to £1k in value/year & so much more!!


Required: Mon - Friday 09:00AM - 5:00PM (1 hour lunch break)

Overview:


An opportunity to join a well-established premium online retailer based in Guildford.


You will manage the sales team and ensure targets are meet or exceed, deliver to KPI's.


You will ensure the team operates effectively through the week, maintaining excellent levels of service and sales whilst taking quick and decisive action to remedy any issues.


Daily Duties include:



  • Takes ownership for the delivery of the weekly sales and margin targets across the team.Is proactive in developing tactics to minimise misses to plan.

  • Monitors lapsed customers and manages a cyclical process of re-engagement with existing customers built upon knowledge of their business cycles for replacement products.

  • Compiles the weekly trading report and reviews with Business Development Manager on a weekly basis

  • Ensures daily and weekly reporting is done in an accurate, timely and consistent manner.

  • Liaises with Finance on weekly numbers and reconciling monies due from customers

  • Manages refund process converting as many customers into cross sell or up-sell opportunities to mitigate hit to sales plan.


Sound interesting?...you must have:



  • Minimum of 3 years working in sales, ideally within a B2B retail environment.

  • Proven track record in deliverng to sales and margin targets.

  • Proven track record in delivering outstanding customer service.

  • Numerate with good Excel skills.

  • Excellent time management and presentation skills.

  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of bespoke products and general product lead-times to optimise selling opportunities as well as managing customer expectations.

  • Assists at Trade Shows as well as maintaining knowledge of quarterly product discontinuations and plans cross and upsells for the sales team to mitigate any gaps in sales.


Experience/ Qualifications:



  • Experience of use of a CRM platform is ideal but not essential.

  • Experience within a wholesale retail business ideal but not obligatory.

  • Business related qualification (desirable)

  • Direct report management experience is ideal but not obligatory.
