JOB TYPE: Sales & Marketing Executive
COMPANY: Insurance Software - providing solutions and services for the London based insurance market
HOURS: 9.00am - 17.30pm
CONTRACT: Permanent, blend of home and office based
SALARY: £23,000 - £25,000 + quarterly commission OTE up to £28,000
LOCATION: In between Liverpool Street and Fenchurch Street

Our client is the premier supplier of software services to the London Insurance Market. They are focused on providing clients with IT solutions of the highest quality whilst underpinning their services with a first-class support infrastructure.



Overview of position:



  • Ability to use a consultative sales approach, no set KPI's to follow, speaking to clients to establish their needs, working with clients to find the right solutions to their needs

  • Following up with clients from an existing list of predefined contacts

  • Logging this information on the system in order to help team members pick up from where you left off

  • Not expected to manage the whole sales process

  • Supporting with marketing materials including digital and use of social media - managing company LinkedIn page

  • Ability to network with market bodies to gain market intelligence.

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails

  • A good understanding of digital marketing strategies

  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements

  • Researching the market and related products

Additional skills:



  • A track record of successful B2B solution sales.

  • An understanding of the underwriting and / or broking organisations in the London Insurance Market. (not essential)

  • An understanding of the Lloyd's, London Market and global insurance business processes and the ability to sell solutions to support those processes. (not essential)

  • Creative thinking and a previous experience of marketing

  • Existing contacts within the broking and / or underwriting communities

  • Knowledge of the market reform agenda and, in particular, ACORD messaging
