Office Angels are super excited to be recruiting for a successful, interesting and expanding business, who is based in Seaham. Due to expansion, the company would like to recruit a Bids & Proposals Coordinator, in this super varied position to work as part of their busy yet thriving team!

  • Salary: Circa £24,000

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5PM

  • Free on-site parking

  • This role will initially start on a temporary contract basis, with the view to a permanent opportunity potentially being offered for the right candidate

The Role:

As an integral part of the business, your role will manage the bids, tenders and sales coordination of the business, as part of the sales team.


  • Working closely with the General Sales Manager to establish the best commercial and technical offer to meet clients' needs

  • Prepare quotations and process orders

  • Maintain CRM data accurately and promptly

  • Ensure that business systems and tools, including SAP, are used effectively and in line with business requirements (training provided on SAP)

  • Prepare quotations, assimilation of costs, technical compliance, assessment of margins - to ensure the submission of the best commercial and technical bid to win the order

  • Carry out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand

  • Ensure that sales orders are entered in line with agreed procedure and that supplier sub orders reflect the project technical and delivery schedule requirements

  • Provide sales support for other colleagues in the team and advise on best practice and protocol - once trained

  • Ensure all sales related documentation and communications are filed in line with agreed practices and in accordance with ISO approved quality system requirements

  • Liaise with and service clients in order to follow up and secure bids as required

  • Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management

  • Collate and produce regular reports as required

Person Specification

Previous experience of working bids, tenders, sales, sales administration or engineering is essential. Training will be provided.

  • Engineering background - ideally mechanical or automation

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written

  • Proven track record of working to tight deadlines

  • Computer literate - ideally experience with SAP or similar in-house ordering system
