Sales Administrator

JOB TITLE: Sales Administrator

TYPE: Local manufacturing company

HOURS: 8am - 5pm (can be flexible for the right candidate)

LOCATION: Outskirts of Maidstone (applicant must drive due to location)

SALARY: £21k - £23k DOE

Our client is an established, family run business based on the outskirts of Maidstone and they are looking for a hardworking, motivated individual to join their team within the Sales Administration department either as a trainee or someone with previous experience to hit the ground running. You must be able to communicate with customers at different levels from other businesses to individual consumers. For the right candidate who is motivated, our client is offering internal training and is looking to increase your level of responsibility within the company over time. There is no outbound sales calling involved in this role.


  • Processing orders received via email and also via the telephone and arranging despatch

  • Answering inbound calls from customers and assisting with their queries

  • Responding to emails quickly and efficiently

  • Creating and maintaining internal Excel spreadsheets

  • Creatively thinking of ways to improve internal database to maximise efficiency

  • Other adhoc administration duties as required

  • To build a strong rapport with loyal and existing customers and assist in building relationships with new clients


  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook to an Advanced standard

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential

  • Good Communication and Teamwork skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload

  • Your own transport due to location

  • Educated to GCSE level
