Reports to: Head of Trade


The Trading department supports the overall commerciality of the overall business. The role requires the individual to work in a manner delivering commerciality, and efficiency. You will be responsible for driving performance across stores and online retailers. Developing the tools, the people, and influencing external stakeholders, in order to create the best possible outcomes. Working with Brands and Hosts to support the best delivery of this and ensure all opportunities are acted upon.

The Key stakeholders of the business are internal and external. The ability to communicate across all stakeholders is key to delivery / success.

Key Accountabilities


  • Analyse weekly sales figures and interpret them in order to develop actions that drive the business forward.

  • Communication internal and external stakeholders to influence actions and decision making to maximise potential profit.

  • Keeping and monitoring sales trend information and use this to provide forecasts as and when required.

  • Awareness of performance to Targets to assess priorities in terms of impact on the business.

  • Understand priorities and manage resource accordingly.

  • Challenge existing processes and procedures to constantly strive for improvement.

  • Ability to create and deliver critical path, reporting, ways of working that support the business needs and growth.

  • Foresight to see potential problems, and solving of those problems.

  • External communication is key.

  • Negotiate / Communicate with External stakeholders to deliver the required action.


  • Stores, Space management - Keep up to date accurate space information and work with the Brand team to ensure all space in stores is filled with the most suitable Brand mix to maximise the sales and density potential. Communicate as necessary to Host's, Brands and Retail teams.

  • E-Commerce - Manage online store categories and product listings, carrying out the required administration to support the Brands in stock delivery to e-commerce warehouse.

  • Review timelines on processes, striving to over deliver at all times.

Technical Skills

  • Use of key internal systems. Excel, COGNOS, Enrichment Platform, Ilevel, Navision

  • Use of key external systems. Host reporting, web platforms

Take multiple sources of data to create Hallett reporting, internally and externally.

  • Knowledge of sales and stock WISI.

  • Always striving to automate, using technology.

  • Process engineering, and critical path creation.

  • Ongoing Forecasting using tools and knowledge.

  • Has experience within a business with significant pace.
