I currently have an exciting new role as a Delivery Station Manager working for a leading online retailer who strive to have a positive impact on their customers, small business and the economy.

My client is looking for a talented operation to join their fast-moving facilities site at the heart of their rapidly growing operations network.

The Delivery Stations work as smart as they can to continuously delight valued customers with their products. With this is mind, you will strategically lead a team comprising of Operation Managers, Area Managers, Operations Supervisors and Operations Assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Delivery Station Manager, you will lead a large and diverse team and will build, maintain and manage key relationships with the Transport & Sortation, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR and Engineering teams

  • You will track and drive both the operational goals and the metrics of your delivery station, while regularly presenting your findings to the senior leadership team

  • You will help to Hire and Develop talented individuals which is a Key Leadership Principle for the client. By doing this it will help you to create and implement a talent plan for your site, which will touch on talent acquisitions, performance and career management, learning and development and positive employee engagement.


  • Degree Qualification or equivalent

  • Direct management experience, comprising both a salaried workforce, hourly and agency strong workforce, in a logistics, manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution environment

  • Experience with planning, performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques

  • Experience with the full staffing life-cycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations

  • Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems

  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends ad holidays

  • Excellent communication skills (including local language and English, written and verbal)

  • Experience managing third party resources on a regional / national scale

  • Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak season
