Resource Director

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Resource Director to join a growing medical organisation based in central London. As the Resource Director, you will uphold overall responsibility for the researcher resourcing within and across the research teams across the European business.

JOB ROLE: Resource Director

LOCATION: London (flexible working with a hybrid approach to office and remote working)

HOURS: Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm

SALARY: Up to £65,000 DOE

  • Track individual researchers and Team workloads accurately over time

  • Liaise with Management Team, Finance leads and Research Team Leads

  • Make optimal project team decisions, reflecting business, project and researcher needs

  • Advise the Management Team on the optimal balance between internal and external (Consultant researcher) resource, as needed throughout the year and pre-empt future needs

  • Support the Management Team to evaluate and put in place plans to manage current and future workload and resource management across the European business

  • Assist in the resourcing of on contract or ad hoc research support across the European business

  • Recommend / explore different options for ad hoc / short term contract external researcher resource

  • Ensure an informed fairness in the distribution of workload across researchers, over time

  • Line manage the Resource Administrator, and optimise the workload and focus between self (EU Resource Director) and Resource Administrator

  • Line manage internal consultant researchers, including overseeing workload and on-going feedback


  • A proven background within a resourcing role within a research or professional services organisation, with a good understanding of market research projects and needs

  • Experience of working within a market research agency

  • Solid experience of the healthcare sector would be a huge advantage

  • Good line management skills

  • You will be an excellent decision maker who can make well informed and sound decisions

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate, influence and interact effectively

  • IT literate: a competent user of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Knowledge of project management and / or resourcing tools would be advantageous
