Recruitment Officer

JOB TYPE:
TEMPORARY - up to 3 months

This company has been around for over 55 years now, they offer constant help and support to all people they work with. They have a large team of over 500 employees.



HOURS:
9 - 5:00pm

SALARY:
£25-30k

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:




  • Developing effective relationships with hiring/recruiting managers of staff/paid workforce to gain a thorough understanding of the organisation

  • Utilising existing IT systems including ATS, Better Impact (Volunteers) and Cascade IRIS (HR Information System) to provide a seamless recruitment and selection service

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with all hiring/recruiting managers of staff/paid workforce and the Volunteering team ensuring that all recruitment and onboarding processes meet required standards

  • Holding responsibility for the effective onboarding of all new starters to include pre-employment/preengagement checks such as DBS, References, Right to Work etc.

  • Timely production of offer letters, contracts of employment and ID badges including the companies smartcards and 'My name is..' badges for new care staff, which meet CQC and HR good practice standards and requirement




SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:




  • Good level of General Education (i.e. minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths)

  • CIPD level 5 qualified or similar/relevant experience is beneficial

  • Experience of working in a busy HR department/environment with formal and structured systems in place

  • Experience of operating with an applicant tracking system

  • Experience of producing high quality advertisements which attract good calibre applicants

  • An understanding of the need to safeguard our vulnerable adults

  • Personable and approachable with strong relationship building skills

  • Tactful and diplomatic and able to work confidentially

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of problem-solving skills as well as adaptable to changing needs/priorities

  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently and use own initiative

  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to deadlines

  • Methodical, pragmatic and tenacious with a strong desire to ensure compliance
